# BOXXY Terms of Use

## Personal use

BOXXY may be played for personal, non-commercial purposes. The source code is made visible for browser delivery and private experimentation, not as a general permission to republish or commercially exploit the game.

## Prohibited use

You must not sell, monetise, rehost, republish or redistribute BOXXY, a modified BOXXY build, or BOXXY's original assets without prior written permission. Detailed permissions and restrictions are set out in `LICENSE.md`.

## Custom puzzles

You are responsible for puzzle names, text and layouts that you create, import or share. Do not use content that infringes another person's rights or is unlawful. Creating a puzzle in BOXXY does not give you rights in BOXXY's code, artwork, branding or interface.

Shared-puzzle links contain an encoded puzzle layout in the URL. Anyone who receives the link may decode, copy and play that puzzle.

## Local saves

Campaign progress, Level Maker saves, recorded solutions, pack drafts and Daily Puzzle drafts are stored in the browser. They may be lost when browser data is cleared, storage is unavailable, or the site changes. Export important work separately.

## Solver

The solver is an optional external service component. It requires network access, may be unavailable and is not guaranteed to solve every puzzle or return an optimal solution. BOXXY verifies a returned route before applying it, but no guarantee is made that the solver will complete a request.

## Availability and warranty

BOXXY is provided “as is”. Availability, compatibility, stored data and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
